The Urus (Seres del Alba / Beings of the Dawn), are an indigenous people who inhabit Lake Titicaca between Bolivia and Peru. "Borders divide, but water and wine unite." Seres del Alba is the fruit of the friendship and respect for ancestral traditions that binds Majo Granier and Pepe Moquillaza. Clear and brilliant in the glass, with a bright garnet hue. The nose reveals delicate aromas of rosewood, chamomile, and fresh peach kernel. On the palate, the wine is light and characterised by lively acidity. Flavors of pomegranate, cherry, and green apple emerge prominently, accompanied by subtle balsamic notes. The minimally invasive winemaking process allows the purity of the fruit and the character of the high-altitude vineyards to shine through. A precise, refreshing, and subtly expressive wine.
Jardín Oculto
Founded in 2019, Jardín Oculto is a small winery that celebrates Bolivian heritage by producing wines with minimal intervention, made exclusively from Criolla grape varieties and Vischoqueña, a grape variety native to Bolivia and found nowhere else in the world.
Located in the Cinti Valley at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level, the vines are very old, some estimated to be 200 years old, entwined around Molle and Chañar trees that climb six meters high. This form of cultivation, while the most natural, is a rarity in the world of winemaking, making these vineyards and their wines true treasures.
