Named the best white wine of the year by Descorchados
Vischoqueña is a very rare red grape variety, originating from Bolivia and only found in the historic Cinti Valley, it´s believed to be a cross between Muscat of Alexandria and Negra Criolla. This wine has a clear, bright, lemon-green color. Displaying a beautiful, perfumed nose with aromas of grapefruit peel, peach, and honeysuckle. Light and fresh with vibrant acidity and a saline finish. Elegant, refreshing, and crisp. Wonderfully crafted.
Jardín Oculto
Founded in 2019, Jardín Oculto is a small winery that celebrates Bolivian heritage by producing wines with minimal intervention, made exclusively from Criolla grape varieties and Vischoqueña, a grape variety native to Bolivia and found nowhere else in the world.
Located in the Cinti Valley at an altitude of 2,300 meters above sea level, the vines are very old, some estimated to be 200 years old, entwined around Molle and Chañar trees that climb six meters high. This form of cultivation, while the most natural, is a rarity in the world of winemaking, making these vineyards and their wines true treasures.
